Під час роботи з діалогом учитель формує у учнів комплекс умінь, що дозволяють їм успішно вступати в мовний контакт з носієм мови, підтримувати і завершувати спілкування, використовуючи автентичні мовні формули відповідно в офіційній / неофіційній ситуації мовної взаємодії і статусу співбесідника. Вміння школярів використовувати мовленнєві кліше та зразки сприятимуть запобіганню страху невдачі, знімають психологічні бар'єри у використанні іноземної мови як засобу спілкування на заняттях та формують соціокультурну компетенцію.

Роботу з активізації словника також направляю на використання в мові прикметників. Дуже подобається учням прийом «Збери речення», де вони по черзі доповнюють по одному слову в попередню конструкцію. Паралельно ми ведемо роботу з дієсловами, оскільки основа будь-якої думки — точно обраний присудок. У цьому допомагають прийоми «Заміни дієслово», «Уточни дію», «Хрестики - нолики», «Підбери антоніми», «Закінчи речення», «Мікрофон».
